“Endgame” - this dynamic painting is acrylic on canvas and it measures 20” X 24” X .75”. It’s inspired by the work of the great abstract expressionists painters such as Willem de Kooning and Joan Mitchell. It’s created using a technique called “alla prima”, which is, it’s painted wet on wet right on the canvas. I used Golden’s open acrylics which are a little more viscous and don’t dry as fast as their hard body acrylics do. So I can take my time.  As the creative process unfolds, the paints are mixed and combined directly on the canvas. This style of painting is very expressive and in the moment.
